What I’m Listening To Pt. 1

I’m supposed to have a post about the weeks after Da Nang and the business/stress of it all. but I feel like BGNC needs a break from my life updates. How about we talk about music? One of my favorite life topics.

Not sure what it is or how, but I’ve discovered some killer jams while I’ve been here. All types of jams too. Not just going out jams, but sad jams, happy pop jams, alternative jams, jack’s mannequin from junior high jams, folk music jams. Just jams jams jams jams! What you will quickly learn about me is that music is important to me. Not just important but it plays a very very very large role in my life. I would have to say my love of music and noise came from my dad based on the fact that majority of the arguments my dad and I had growing up were about who had more control of the radio. We would rage on each other. And my sister helps in that aspect of my life as well. Thanks to her I’m well versed in Tupac, Biggie, NWA, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Shania Twain, LeeAnn Rimes, Dixie Chicks, and Will Smith. So much Will Smith. Every single Will Smith song. I appreciate you for the education

I like all types of music. No I’m not just that “basic” girl that says she likes all types of music. I swear. I love all music. Yes, this includes country music. My sister got me started, and now my niece knows full albums.

Without a doubt, I have an eclectic taste in music. Always have, always will. Sure, sometimes I’ll catch myself listening to/obsessing over Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap” — which is suuuuuuch a pop happy go lucky song for me, not my usual go to, but I looooove that song. Dance in my underwear in my room singing like I’m on stage love. Still don’t know why I like it so much. Maybe I just really love Charli XCX and haven’t accepted it yet.
